Red Balloon Festival 2026 draws crowds in Dorsten

The seventh edition of the Red Balloon Festival was held at the LEO venue in Dorsten on July 31 and August 1, 2026. The two‑day event featured a line‑up that included regional acts Butterwegge and Vertikal among a total of seventeen bands selected from more than 200 applications.

Organizer Jacky Möller thanked the city agency Dorsten, Sparkasse Dorsten, Atlantis, the LEO staff led by Swantje Bärenfänger, and mayor Tobias Stockhoff for their support. Stockhoff humorously remarked that the festival had no rain this year, crediting the new venue manager. Attendees enjoyed rock, punk and pop performances across the festival’s stages.
