Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe discusses Remco Evenepoel's 2027 schedule

Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe management is evaluating potential racing programs for Remco Evenepoel in 2027. Team manager Ralph Denk has expressed caution regarding an ambitious double Grand Tour schedule, noting that while the 2027 Tour de France features 71 kilometers of time trialing and the Giro d'Italia offers significant opportunities for specialists, the team possesses a deep roster of GC contenders.

Denk highlighted that the team has multiple options for Grand Tour leadership, including Florian Lipowitz, Jai Hindley, and developing talents such as Giulio Pellizzari and Lorenzo Finn. This depth allows the team to pursue various objectives even if Evenepoel focuses on a single major race.

Additionally, Denk indicated that the team would not oppose Evenepoel attempting Paris-Roubaix in 2027. While the rider has previously podiumed at the Tour of Flanders, the decision to train for and compete in the cobbled classic would rest solely with Evenepoel. Denk stated the team would not worry about potential injuries or compromised objectives if the rider chooses to pursue the race.
