Red Bull confirms Isack Hadjar recovery is on track
Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies has confirmed that Isack Hadjar’s recovery from a wrist injury is proceeding as expected. Hadjar has missed the last three Formula 1 Grands Prix after sustaining the injury during a training session in the summer.
To manage his absence, Liam Lawson has been filling Hadjar’s seat at Red Bull, while Yuki Tsunoda has stepped into the Racing Bulls seat. Mekies emphasized that the team is prioritizing Hadjar’s long-term health over an immediate return, stating they do not want to compromise his future capacity by rushing him back.
The team plans to evaluate Hadjar’s condition in approximately one week. This process will include testing him in a simulator to expose him to realistic physical constraints. A return to racing, potentially for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, depends on whether he feels close to 100% capacity.
