Red Bull Soapbox Race held in Sarajevo

The Red Bull Soapbox Race took place in Sarajevo, featuring 35 teams competing in handmade, motorless vehicles on a 400-meter course at Alipašino Polje. The track, stretching from the Novi Grad Police Administration to the Novi Grad Municipality building, included obstacles such as ramps, chicanes, and narrow turns.

Teams were judged on vehicle creativity, performance, and elapsed time. The winning team, ‘BH farmeri’ from Konjica, used their entry to highlight the importance of Bosnian farmers. Other top finishers included ‘Golden State varioci’ from Tuzla in second place and ‘Superbrke’ from Banja Luka in third.

Spectators witnessed a variety of creative designs, including vehicles shaped like coffee pots (džezva), Sarajevo cable car gondolas, and vintage cars. The event drew large crowds to the city for the spectacle of speed and ingenuity.
