Red Bull Wings Cup to merge esports and football

Red Bull has announced the Red Bull Wings Cup, a new global tournament that merges esports competition with football. The competition offers two distinct qualification paths for participants.

The Open League features a 1v1 Ultimate Team format using EA SPORTS FC 27 on PlayStation. Qualifications for this league are scheduled to run from September 28 through October 15 via PlayStation Tournaments and FACEIT. Additionally, a University League will offer a Rush mode competition at various university locations.

The national finals are set to take place during the 20th anniversary of the Poznań Game Arena from October 23 to 25, 2026. The top eight players from the Open League and the top eight from the University League will compete live on stage, culminating in a final match to determine the overall champion. Winners of the tournament will earn a trip to the global finals in Miami.
