Red Cross branches in Argentina and Chile celebrate anniversaries with free community events
The Red Cross Rosario branch in Argentina marked its 133rd anniversary with a month of free activities, including blood‑donation drives, brief CPR courses, health‑promotion sessions and a call for new volunteers. The events aim to sustain local blood banks, teach emergency response skills and strengthen community health.
In Chile, the San Bernardo filial of the Red Cross celebrated its 106th year with a ceremony attended by national Red Cross president Dr. Rafael Méndez Mella, executive director Felipe González, youth director Sebastián Cornejo, local clergy, police and municipal officials. The ceremony highlighted the leadership of branch president Ana María Orellana and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to serve vulnerable populations and expand volunteer involvement.
