Red Cross Monza launches mobile health unit fundraising initiative

The Monza Committee of the Italian Red Cross is launching the ‘Chef for health’ project to fund a new mobile proximity health unit. The vehicle, valued at approximately 100,000 euros, is designed to bring healthcare services directly to citizens who face difficulties accessing medical facilities.

Inside the mobile unit, staff will be able to perform health screenings, such as blood pressure and glucose monitoring, as well as preventative programs for the elderly and vulnerable populations. The unit will serve Monza and ten surrounding municipalities, including Besana, Biassono, and Lesmo.

To finance the initiative, a gala dinner will be held on November 24 at the Sporting Club in Monza, featuring dishes prepared by local Michelin-starred chefs. Additionally, participating chefs will include special menu items in their restaurants starting in late October, with proceeds contributing to the fundraising efforts.
