Red Cross Rab launches three-year youth support program

The City Red Cross Society of Rab has launched a new three-year program titled ‘Prostor za mlade’ (Space for Youth), running from 2026 to 2029. The initiative, which received an initial year-one funding of 42,250 euros from the Ministry of Labor, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, aims to provide free psychological counseling for children, youth, and parents on the island of Rab without the need for referrals or waiting lists.

In addition to counseling, the program includes a dedicated youth space in Šarengrad, which will be available year-round. This space will offer social games, table tennis, and social gatherings, particularly during evening hours. The program will also feature creative-therapeutic workshops, parent support groups, community lectures, and a podcast produced by young volunteers focusing on important social issues.
