The City of Red Deer has opened applications for 33 vacancies across various municipal committees, boards, and commissions. The recruitment period began on August 17 and will remain open until September 18.

These advisory bodies are intended to provide community insight and diverse perspectives to assist in local decision-making. Available opportunities include roles within the Audit Committee, Greater Downtown Governance, Housing and Homelessness Integration Committee, Municipal Planning Commission, Policing Committee, and the Red Deer Library Board, among others.

Acting city clerk Catherine Jackson stated that these committees allow residents to contribute directly to decisions shaping the city. Successful nominees are scheduled to be announced at the Organizational Meeting on October 27, with terms commencing shortly thereafter.
