Red. es launches AI initiative for SMEs with 40 million euro fund

Red. es has launched a new initiative to promote the development of artificial intelligence solutions specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups. The organization is allocating 40 million euros to selected projects that focus on solving specific problems within the production and business processes of small companies.

The initiative aims to ensure that AI technology is accessible beyond large corporations and complex technical projects. To achieve this, Red. es intends to sign cooperation agreements and provide AI platforms that allow companies to develop and test use cases applicable across various sectors. Each agreement must generate at least 30 AI use cases focused on business needs, with at least 15 of these being generalized so they can be utilized by a broader range of SMEs.

Additionally, the Acelera pyme offices are hosting the first ‘AI Week’ from September 21 to 24. This initiative, coordinated across Spain, aims to demonstrate the practical application of artificial intelligence to SMEs, freelancers, and entrepreneurs. The program includes participation from Itecam through offices in Ciudad Real, Albacete, and Cuenca, focusing on how AI can be applied to different areas of business activity to improve competitiveness and promote ethical and secure usage.
