Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban 2026 launches nationwide band contest in the Philippines

Red Horse Beer is opening the 2026 edition of its Pambansang Muziklaban, the country's longest-running battle‑of‑the‑bands competition. The contest invites Filipino groups with members aged 21 to 45 from all rock‑related genres—including metal, alternative, punk and reggae—to submit entries for a series of screenings and eliminations that culminate in a national final.

The Grand Champion will receive a cash prize of Php 1,000,000 and a permanent place in the Muziklaban roster. Since its inception in 1999, the competition has launched acts such as IBARRA, EVEN, HATANKARU, LIGHT OF LUNA and MAYONNAISE. The 2025 season was won by TAMAD SI JUAN from Davao, who beat finalists VDS, BAGUIO GOLD MUSIC, HILO and THEMATA. Registration for the 2026 season is now open, with updates posted on the Red Horse Beer Muziklaban Facebook page.
