Red Nose Project reaches record participation in Croatia

The Red Nose Project’s “Children in Schools for Children in Hospitals” initiative has seen record participation in its fourth year, involving 95 primary schools, 215 classes, and 1,912 students across Croatia.

In the Koprivnica-Križevci County, nearly 100 students from six schools contributed drawings and messages of support to brighten the days of peers undergoing hospital treatment. Some participating schools have integrated the project into their official curriculum to foster long-term values of empathy and solidarity.

In the Primorsko-goranska County, 86 students from five schools in Rijeka and surrounding areas participated. Their artwork was delivered to hospitals, including KBC Rijeka, to provide comfort to children in medical care. The project aims to use creative expression to teach students about compassion while ensuring hospitalized children feel supported by their peers.
