Red Rooster plans return to Wagga after Edward Street closure

Red Rooster has permanently closed its Edward Street location in Wagga Wagga as of Sunday, September 13. The closure follows the brand's previous loss of its Wagga Marketplace store two years ago.

Craveable Brands, the parent company of Red Rooster, confirmed the closure but stated that the company is actively looking for a new site within the city to maintain a presence in the Riverina community.

The closure is part of broader changes within the Red Rooster network, which has seen approximately 35 stores shut across Australia in 2026. Despite the suddenness of the Edward Street closure, Craveable Brands has not yet provided specific reasons for the shutdowns or details on further potential closures.
