Saudi Arabia expands Red Sea yachting infrastructure and services
The Saudi Tourism Authority has announced several major developments for the Red Sea yachting sector following the Monaco Yacht Show 2026. A central initiative is the launch of the Yachting Network by Red Sea Global, which will connect the AMAALA Yacht Club and Shura Island Marina. Starting in winter 2026, this network will allow yacht owners and operators to access 278 berths through a single berthing contract.
To support the growing maritime industry, the Saudi Red Sea Authority is introducing RASA, a unified digital platform for coastal tourism licensing and permits. Additionally, a new superyacht refit and repair facility, named Icon Saudi, is planned for Jeddah. This project is a partnership between Sela, a Public Investment Fund company, and the Dutch shipyard Icon Yachts, aiming to bring European maintenance expertise to the region.
Further expanding the ecosystem, the Red Sea Yacht Show is scheduled to debut at the Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina from October 14–17, 2027. The event is intended to position Jeddah as a strategic hub for the international yachting community during the winter repositioning season.
