Red Seat Ventures launches live streaming on Supercast

Red Seat Ventures, a Fox Corporation-owned media company, has launched a live streaming feature on its Supercast platform. The update allows creators to broadcast real-time programming directly through the platform by connecting their existing streaming software.

The new functionality includes interactive tools such as real-time chat, live polls, and paid message pinning, which allows subscribers to keep comments prominently displayed during a broadcast. Additionally, the platform is introducing video premieres, enabling creators to schedule pre-recorded content as live events with the same interactive capabilities.

Subscribers will receive notifications via email or the app when a creator begins or schedules a stream. Early adopters of the feature include the show ‘Kill Tony’. The expansion is part of Red Seat Ventures' strategy to enhance direct-to-consumer subscription and monetization tools for creators in sectors such as comedy, news, and sports.
