Red Sky Energy confirms gas pay at Yarrow 4 well

Red Sky Energy has confirmed the intersection of gas pay at its Yarrow 4 well in the Cooper Basin. The company, which holds a 20% working interest in the Santos-operated Innamincka Dome Joint Venture, reported that the development well reached a total depth of 2,908 metres on 6 September 2026.

Preliminary data from logging while drilling indicates two gas-saturated zones within the Tirrawarra Sandstone, totaling 5.2 metres of low deliverability gas pay, alongside an additional 0.2 metres in the Patchawarra Formation. Downhole pressure surveys showed approximately 3,335 psi in the Tirrawarra Sandstone reservoir section.

Following casing, a workover rig is expected to be used for fracture stimulation and well completion. Managing Director Andrew Knox stated that these results align with the company’s development objectives. Once casing is complete, Rig 184 is scheduled to move to the same pad to drill Yarrow 5. The company also noted that civil works for the Willowie 2 appraisal well are planned for late October 2026.
