Red Sox send Roman Anthony to Florida for injury rehab and medical evaluation
The Boston Red Sox have assigned outfielder Roman Anthony to Fort Myers, Florida, to continue rehabilitation of a partially torn ligament in his right ring finger. Interim manager Chad Tracy said the move lets Anthony focus solely on recovery and return to the lineup. Anthony is scheduled to see hand specialist Dr. Gary Lourie in Atlanta for further evaluation.
During the same period, Anthony’s sister Lia shared a red‑bikini Instagram story on July 4, celebrating with a friend. Earlier, Roman received a late call‑up to Team USA for the 2026 World Baseball Classic after an injury to Corbin Carroll, contributing to the team’s run to the final, where they were defeated by Venezuela.
