Red Star Belgrade travelled to Larne in Northern Ireland for the first leg of the second qualifying round of the 2026‑27 UEFA Champions League. The Serbian side dominated the match on the artificial‑turf pitch and secured a 4‑0 victory.

Coach Dejan Stanković praised the team’s quality and preparation, noting that the win leaves the return leg in Belgrade as a “formalities”. He highlighted the challenge of adapting to the synthetic surface but said the squad’s depth allowed them to rotate without loss of performance. The next fixture is scheduled for 29 July at the Rajko Mitić stadium, with the winner moving on to the third qualifying round.

The result also impacts future match‑ups: the winner will face the victor of the Iceland‑Israel tie in the next round, while Red Star’s domestic rivals prepare for forthcoming league and cup commitments.
