Red Star Belgrade highlights Austria prep and eyes €1.5 m goalkeeper transfer

Red Star Belgrade shared a striking training drill on its official TikTok from a pre‑season camp in Austria. The clip showed Mohamed Abu Fani breaking through midfield, delivering a precise pass to Mirko Ivanić, who scored the winning goal in a 2‑1 friendly against Amstetten. Fans praised the move as one of the best of the session, while the club prepares to defend its domestic title and seek Champions League qualification under coach Dejan Stanković.

At the same time, Red Star is finalising the sale of goalkeeper Balša Popović to Greek side Olympiacos for about €1.5 million. Popović, who has never played for Red Star, has been a regular for OFK Beograd in the Serbian SuperLiga, appearing in 105 matches and earning a reputation as one of the league’s top keepers. The transfer fee is expected to be split between Red Star and OFK Beograd.
