Red Star Belgrade opens Serbian SuperLiga season with 5‑0 victory

Red Star Belgrade began the 2025/26 Serbian SuperLiga with a commanding 5‑0 win over newcomers Mačva Šabac. Slovenian striker Timi Max Elšnik, a recent national team call‑up, came off the bench in the second half and helped seal the victory. Goals were scored by Bruno Duarte, Radet Krunića, Vasilij Kostov (twice), an own‑goal by Mačva and a penalty by Isse Koneja.

The result reinforces Red Star’s status as early favourite for the league title and showcases their attacking depth as they head into the new season.
