Rede Paz modernizes São Paulo fuel stations for electric mobility
The fuel retail sector in São Paulo is undergoing a transformation as companies shift toward multi-service models. Rede Paz, which operates over 80 units, is implementing a strategy to evolve traditional gas stations into hubs for energy, technology, convenience, and mobility. A key component of this plan is the expansion of electric vehicle infrastructure, with a goal to install 300 ultra-fast chargers in the capital by the end of 2027.
This modernization effort is being led by Luiz Felipe Do Valle Silva Do Quental De Menezes, who leverages previous experience at Shell Brasil to integrate logistics, technology, and operational planning into the network's growth. The strategy focuses on utilizing existing urban locations to meet the changing demands of electric mobility and consumer behavior.
In a broader context of infrastructure and sanitation in Brazil, industry professionals recently gathered in São Paulo for the Fórum Infra 2026-2028 and the 55th Brazilian Engineering Ranking. The forum highlighted significant investments in sanitation and energy, including a BNDES pipeline projecting over R$ 40 billion in investments. Additionally, discussions regarding energy efficiency and technological innovation in the sanitation sector are being promoted through partnerships between the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Wilo Brasil.
