Rede-PSOL federation shifts Minas Gerais support to Patrus Ananias

The Rede-PSOL National Executive has intervened in the Minas Gerais political landscape by annulling the state branch's decision to support Alexandre Kalil (PSD) for governor. Following a veto request from the PSOL Minas Gerais branch, the federation has officially shifted its support to federal deputy Patrus Ananias (PT).

The shift follows internal disagreements within the federation, largely driven by PSOL's opposition to Kalil's alliance with the PSDB, specifically regarding his choice of Carlos Mosconi as vice-candidate. With this new alignment, the federation will support the ticket of Patrus Ananias and Jarbas Soares (PSB), while also prioritizing the candidacies of Marília Campos (PT) for the Senate and Áurea Carolina (PSOL) for the Chamber.

Despite the formal change at the national level, the National Executive has granted the Rede party the freedom to diverge locally, potentially allowing them to maintain support for Kalil within the state of Minas Gerais.
