Redeemed Christian Church of God daughter refutes viral legacy claim

Pastor Titilayo Adewale, daughter of RCCG founder Pa Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, issued a Facebook statement denying a viral post that alleged she had criticised the church’s leadership for sidelining her father’s legacy. Adewale said the remarks were fabricated, stressing that her father “never sought earthly recognition” and that “the greatest legacy is people, not buildings or institutions.” She backed General Overseer Pastor Enoch Adeboye and urged members to remain united, warning that the false narrative was intended to create division.

The denial was published on Monday and highlighted the founder’s simple life, his reluctance to own property, and his focus on building people rather than monuments. Adewale called for the cessation of the circulating false statements.
