RedeTV! converts São Paulo studio into permanent MMA arena

RedeTV! is converting one of its studios in São Paulo into a permanent MMA arena to host year-round combat sports events. The broadcaster plans to dedicate the last Friday of every month to martial arts programming, hosted by Marcelo do Ó.

The new space is scheduled to debut on August 28 with the second edition of Liga Monstro Combate (LMC). The event will feature a preliminary card on digital platforms starting at 18:00, followed by the main card on broadcast television and RedeTV! Go at 22:00. The headlining fight will feature Brazilian former WSOF and UFC champion Marlon Moraes against Argentina’s Maximiliano ‘Demonio’ Perez.

By transforming the studio, the network aims to centralize production and fight hosting in a single location. This move revives the broadcaster's historical connection to MMA, which previously included broadcasting UFC events between 2009 and 2011.
