Redfin integrates childcare search into property listings

Redfin has launched a new feature on its mobile and desktop platforms that allows prospective homebuyers to view nearby childcare options directly on property listings. Developed in partnership with Winnie, a national online childcare marketplace, the tool provides visibility into more than 250,000 licensed early care and education programs across the United States.

According to Redfin chief economist Daryl Fairweather, the integration aims to help families manage two of their largest expenses—housing and childcare—simultaneously. The feature, which includes profiles for licensed centers and home-based providers, sits alongside the company’s existing K-12 school data provided by the nonprofit GreatSchools. The update became available on Redfin’s iOS and Android applications at the end of September.
