RedMagic 12 Pro+ gaming smartphone to debut October 15

RedMagic has revealed details for its upcoming flagship gaming smartphone, the RedMagic 12 Pro+, ahead of its official launch in China on October 15. The device features a redesigned, thinner, and lighter chassis with rounded edges and a completely flat rear panel that houses a flush camera module to prevent wobbling.

A central feature is the ICE Magic Cooling System, described as an industry-first RGB water-cooled thermal management system. This hybrid setup combines an active internal fan with a dual-ring liquid cooling architecture. The system uses a dual-crystal-driven micro-pump to circulate a non-conductive fluorinated fluid through two paths: one covering the System-on-a-Chip (SoC) and another covering the battery. Custom light guides allow RGB lighting to trace the actual path of the coolant.

Technically, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 platform. It also utilizes ninth-generation under-display camera technology to provide a true full-screen experience without notches or punch-holes. The display bezels have been reduced to 0.96mm. The device will be available in three transparent finishes: Transparent Dark Night, Transparent Silver Wing, and Transparent Ice Blue.
