REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ set for October 15 launch in China

Nubia’s gaming sub-brand, REDMAGIC, has announced that the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ smartphone will debut in China on October 15. The upcoming release is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, which will work alongside two auxiliary chips—an e-sports processor and a dedicated unit for high-refresh-rate screens—to optimize graphic rendering and animation fluidity.

To manage heat during intensive gaming, the device is rumored to utilize the ICE Magic Cooling system or a new feature teased as ‘AquaCore.’ This technology reportedly combines an active internal fan with water cooling to maintain low component temperatures under heavy loads.

While the Pro+ model launches first in China, the brand has teased a global release under the REDMAGIC 12 Pro moniker. Specific details regarding international availability and charging specifications have not yet been confirmed.
