REDMAGIC and ViewSonic announce new mobile hardware

REDMAGIC has introduced the Astra 2, a high-performance gaming tablet designed for intensive mobile use. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and includes a dedicated RedCore R4 chip to optimize graphics and tactile tasks. It features a 9.06-inch OLED LTPO display with a 185 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. To manage heat, the tablet utilizes the AquaCore Cooling System 2.0, which incorporates liquid cooling with liquid metal and a vapor chamber.

ViewSonic has also announced the VG1457, a portable dual-screen monitor aimed at mobile professionals. The device features two 14-inch WUXGA (1920x1200) screens and weighs less than three pounds. It includes a built-in G-sensor for automatic content rotation and supports 65W power delivery via USB-C, allowing it to charge a connected laptop or receive power from one.
