RedMagic Astra 2 gaming tablet features OLED display and Snapdragon 8 Elite

The RedMagic Astra 2 is a 9-inch gaming tablet featuring a 185Hz OLED display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Designed as a portable powerhouse, the device includes dual USB-C ports, a fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated physical switch to activate the RedMagic Game Space launcher.

The tablet offers PC emulation capabilities through the company’s Game Hub app, allowing users to run Steam games. While the device provides high-end Android gaming performance and a compact design comparable to an iPad mini, reviewers noted drawbacks such as a steep price point, an awkward off-center primary USB-C port for controller use, and limitations within the RedMagic OS.
