RedMagic Astra 2 gaming tablet launches globally with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and liquid cooling

RedMagic has introduced the Astra 2, a high‑performance gaming tablet that debuted worldwide on 17 July 2026. The device uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 3 nm processor together with a dedicated RedCore R4 gaming chip and an AquaCore Cooling 2.0 liquid‑cooling system, the first of its kind in a tablet. It features a 9.06‑inch LTPO OLED screen with 2.4 K resolution, 185 Hz refresh rate and 300 Hz touch sampling, plus stereo speakers, dual linear‑vibration motors and a 8300 mAh battery that supports 75 W fast charging.

The Astra 2 is offered in two configurations: 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage priced at €699 (≈ $749) and 16 GB RAM with 512 GB storage at €799 (≈ $849). Early‑bird registration opens in early August, with the first shipments expected mid‑month and general sales beginning at the end of August. Prices and availability have been announced for several European markets—including Italy, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, and Turkey—as well as in China and the United States, where reviews confirm the tablet's performance and design.
