RedMagic launches Astra 2 gaming tablet in Malaysia and Japan

RedMagic has expanded the availability of its Astra 2 gaming tablet to the Malaysian and Japanese markets. The device is characterized by its high-performance hardware and specialized cooling technology.

Technical specifications include a 9.06-inch 2K OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. To manage heat during intensive gaming, the tablet utilizes the AquaCore Cooling System 2.0, which integrates liquid cooling with a vapor chamber. The hardware is supported by up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, alongside an 8,300mAh battery that supports 75W fast charging.

In Malaysia, the tablet is available in Black Eclipse and Starfrost colors, with the 12GB+256GB model priced at RM3,599. In Japan, pre-orders for the device began on September 9, with pricing starting at 139,800 yen for the 12GB+256GB configuration.
