RedMagic to launch 12 Pro+ gaming smartphone in China

RedMagic is scheduled to launch the RedMagic 12 Pro+ gaming smartphone in China on October 15. The device is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, positioning it as one of the first commercial devices to utilize the new chipset.

Key design improvements include a reduction in screen bezels from 1.25mm to 0.96mm and the implementation of a ninth-generation under-display selfie camera to provide an uninterrupted viewing experience. The phone will offer a cyberpunk aesthetic with semi-transparent back panels in colors such as Transparent Dark Night, Transparent Silver Wing, and Transparent Ice Blue.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the device may feature a 185Hz refresh rate and a custom G1 display chip. While technical specifications like Geekbench scores have surfaced, full pricing and final hardware configurations remain to be officially disclosed during the launch event.
