RedMagic unveils Astra 2 gaming tablet and magnetic cooler for 6 Pro+

RedMagic has expanded its gaming hardware lineup with two new products. The Astra 2 gaming tablet is built around Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 gaming chip and features a 9.06‑inch 2.4K OLED panel with a 185 Hz refresh rate, 2,000 Hz touch sampling, and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It includes dual USB‑C ports, an AquaCore 2.0 liquid‑cooling system, IP54 splash resistance, and an ultra‑thin metal‑glass chassis weighing 363 g.

Separately, Nubia introduced the Red Magic 6 Pro+ magnetic cooler, a 33 W accessory that claims to lower device temperature by up to 77 °C and reach a minimum of –21 °C. The cooler uses a double‑silicone layer, a thermoelectric cooling plate, cold‑forged aluminum fins and a 6,000 RPM fan, attaching magnetically with a 14 N force. It is priced at 189 yuan for pre‑sale in China, with shipments beginning 31 July. Both products aim to improve performance and thermal management for mobile gamers.
