Redmond partners with ODOT on Safe Routes to School Plan
The City of Redmond has partnered with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Redmond School District to create a Safe Routes to School Plan. The initiative aims to improve safety and accessibility for students who walk, bike, or use other active transportation methods to reach school.
To inform the project, the City is seeking community feedback through an open house on October 15, 2026, and via an interactive online map. The planning process will prioritize improvements such as repairing missing sidewalks, enhancing unsafe crossings, and addressing speeding issues. Residents are also invited to participate in school walk audits scheduled for mid-October.
