Redondela to host traditional Gala Drag with 2,000 euro prize

The municipality of Redondela will host its traditional Gala Drag on Saturday, August 22, as part of the Entroido de Verán programming. Held at the Campo da Feira, the event features a contest with 2,000 euros in prizes, where a jury will evaluate participants based on originality, creativity, and the craftsmanship of their costumes.

Carlos Veleiro will serve as the master of ceremonies, and the event will include a special performance by guest artist Carolina Smith. Local Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Rita Pérez, described the gala as a celebration of respect, freedom, and inclusion, highlighting the municipality's commitment to diversity.

The evening's musical lineup includes DJ sets by Sara González and Borja Rúa starting at 20:00, followed by a performance from the Galician group Monoulious DOP. The night will feature an international performance by the Argentine band Ráfaga, concluding with sets by DJs Kike Varela and Rodri Vegas.
