Reece Weaver makes Broadway debut in musical Chicago

Reece Weaver, a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader featured in the Netflix docuseries ‘America’s Sweethearts’, has made her Broadway debut in the musical ‘Chicago’. Performing at New York’s Ambassador Theatre, Weaver took on the role of Roxie Hart. Despite initial criticism regarding ‘stunt casting’, audience members reported that she commanded the stage with charisma and strong acting and dancing skills.

Weaver also addressed recent public speculation regarding her departure from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. She denied rumors that her husband, Will Allman, influenced her decision to retire from the squad at the end of the 2025 NFL season. Weaver clarified that her retirement was “100 percent solely my decision” and emphasized that her husband was supportive of her career choices, noting that social media often twists personal narratives.
