Former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Reece Weaver has announced her Broadway debut. Weaver will star as Roxie Hart in a limited engagement of the musical ‘Chicago’ at New York City’s Ambassador Theatre.

The production is scheduled to run for six weeks, beginning September 7 and concluding on October 18. Weaver, a trained dancer, shared her excitement on social media, describing the opportunity to perform on Broadway as a lifelong dream.

Her transition to Broadway effectively ends speculation that she would appear on the upcoming season of ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ as the musical’s schedule conflicts with the show’s premiere on September 15.
