Reese Alston completes official visit with Kentucky Basketball

Five-star point guard Reese Alston has completed an official visit to the University of Kentucky. Alston, a member of the 2027 recruiting class, is ranked as the No. 9 player nationally and the top prospect in Texas.

Alston, who plays for Second Baptist School in Houston, has narrowed his recruitment to seven schools: Kentucky, Houston, LSU, Louisville, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Wichita State. He has already conducted official visits to Tennessee, LSU, Wichita State, and Louisville.

Kentucky head coach Mark Pope has made Alston a recruiting priority, aided by a connection through Alston’s father, former NBA player Rafer Alston. Additionally, Kentucky assistant coach Mikhail McLean, a former player at Alston’s high school, maintains ties to the prospect.
