Reese Witherspoon’s Reese’s Book Club has selected debut novelist Kelly Anderson’s "The Wild Beneath" as its August 2026 pick. The novel follows Annie MacLeod, who grows up on a sailboat in the Pacific Northwest, survives a tsunami, rescues a wordless man named Walker, and later confronts his return six years later.

The book is being released in hardback by HarperCollins in Canada, Park Row in the United States, and Text Publishing in Australia and New Zealand.
