Referee associations hold training sessions in San Marino and Italy

Regional football referee associations in San Marino and Italy recently held training gatherings to prepare for upcoming seasons.

In San Marino, the A. S. A. conducted a pre-season assembly at the San Marino Stadium. Led by President Marcello Busignani and officials from the FSGC, the sessions included updates on regulatory changes, technical discussions on VAR-related topics such as DOGSO and handball, and athletic training assessments. Additionally, Sammarinese officials participated in international assignments, including UEFA Futsal Champions League matches and refereeing duties in Austria.

In Italy, the AIA section of Avezzano held a gathering for referees and observers in Gioia dei Marsi. The event focused on training and discussing new regulatory updates. Local Mayor Gianluca Alfonsi highlighted the event's potential to drive regional tourism through sports, noting the importance of utilizing recently renovated municipal sports facilities.
