Referee collides with Roma defender Evan Ndicka during Dortmund friendly
During a pre-season friendly match between Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma at Signal Iduna Park, an unusual incident occurred involving the referee. The match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, saw Dortmund recover from an early lead established by Dybala and Cristante.
Near the end of the first half, Roma defender Evan Ndicka intercepted the ball and looked up to find teammates, only to be collided with by the German referee, Siebert. The official, who was running without looking at the ball, struck Ndicka in the chest with a shoulder tackle, leaving the Ivorian defender on the ground. Siebert subsequently raised his arms in an apology for the collision.
