Referee Vergétis appointed for OFI vs PAOK match

Christos Vergétis has been appointed to referee the upcoming Stoiximan Super League match between OFI and PAOK, with Angelos Evangelou serving as the VAR official.

The appointment has drawn scrutiny due to statistical trends regarding PAOK's performance under Vergétis. Records indicate that PAOK has secured seven consecutive wins in matches officiated by Vergétis, maintaining a goal difference of 21-2 across seven league and cup fixtures.

This follows recent discussions regarding officiating consistency in the league, specifically citing previous matches involving referee Vasilis Fotias and VAR Panagiotis Koukoulas, where controversial decisions impacted game outcomes.
