Reform UK faces polling slump and licensing investigation

Reform UK is facing internal and external challenges as recent polling indicates the party has hit its lowest support level in 18 months. According to research by the More in Common think-tank, Reform UK's support has dropped to 23%, placing it behind the Labour Party and just ahead of the Conservative Party.

Adding to the party's difficulties, organizers of a victory rally for Nigel Farage, known as “Farage Fest” or “Clactonbury,” are under investigation. Tendring District Council confirmed it refused to grant a Late Temporary Event Notice because the application was not submitted within the statutory timescales required under the Licensing Act 2003. The council issued a counter-notice, warning organizers of potential criminal offences for carrying out licensable activities without authorization.

Furthermore, Nigel Farage faces scrutiny from the Parliament standards commissioner regarding a £5 million gift from a Thailand-based crypto-billionaire that was not declared prior to his election as an MP.
