Reform UK overtakes Labour in new UK polling
Recent polling indicates significant shifts in the UK political landscape. A YouGov survey shows Reform UK has overtaken the Labour Party, reaching 25 per cent support compared to Labour's 24 per cent. This development occurs as Prime Minister Andy Burnham begins his first major conference speech as party leader.
In a separate regional contest, YouGov MRP polling for the upcoming Cumbria mayoral election suggests a tight race between Labour and Reform UK. Labour's candidate, David Allen, holds a narrow 25.4 per cent lead over Reform UK's 25.2 per cent, while the Conservatives follow at 20 per cent.
Despite the national polling dip, internal sentiment within the Labour Party remains largely positive. A Survation poll conducted for LabourList found that 92 per cent of party members believe Andy Burnham has governed well since taking office. However, two-thirds of those members identify Reform UK as the primary electoral threat to the party.
