Reformed Church communities celebrate major anniversaries

Reformed Church communities in the region held significant anniversary services on August 30. In Réva, a thanksgiving service was held to mark the 150th anniversary of the local Reformed church. Bishop Szabolcs János Bogdán delivered a sermon emphasizing the importance of active service and the continuity of generations, noting how previous generations fulfilled the task of building the church despite poverty.

In Târgu Mureș (Marosvásárhely), the Felsőváros Reformed Parish celebrated a triple milestone: the 80th anniversary of its founding, the 50th anniversary of its independence, and the completion of church renovations. Bishop Vilmos József Kolumbán led the service, reflecting on the community's survival through historical challenges, including the communist era, and emphasizing the need to pass faith and culture to younger generations.
