Regan Smith to return to NASCAR for limited Truck Series starts

NASCAR veteran and FOX Sports broadcaster Regan Smith will return to racing for a limited two-race stint in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Smith is set to drive the No. 25 Ram 1500 for Kaulig Racing as part of the Ram Free Agent Driver Program.

Smith will compete at Bristol Motor Speedway next month and at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October. The program marks Ram’s return to NASCAR competition after a 13-year hiatus, utilizing a rotating entry that pairs professional talent with the brand's renewed presence in the series.

Smith, a former Southern 500 winner with a career spanning NASCAR’s top national series, has not competed in NASCAR since 2019. He noted that transitioning from the broadcast booth back into the cockpit provides a unique perspective for his work as an analyst.
