Regata del Conero: Weather delays Saturday's sailing events

Adverse weather conditions have forced the cancellation of Saturday's maritime programming for the 2026 Regata del Conero in Ancona. The decision, made following briefings at Marina Dorica, halted both the Conero Cup ORC Invitational – Trofeo Mediolanum and the Iconic Italian America’s Cup Exhibition featuring Azzurra III and Italia II.

The exhibition involving the two historic 12 Metre boats has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 20. The XXVII Regata del Conero is expected to begin at 11:00 AM in the waters off Ancona.

The event has seen record participation, with over 170 vessels on the entry list, including more than 60 boats arriving from outside Ancona. The fleet includes various classes such as Maxi, 50-foot, and smaller performance boats like the Melges 24, depending on Sunday's wind conditions.
