Regata del Mediterraneo begins night racing in Reggio Calabria

The XXI Royal Edition of the Regata del Mediterraneo is underway in Reggio Calabria, featuring a new night competition format. Ten crews from various parts of Italy and Siġġiewi, Malta, are participating in the event. The races are scheduled to take place in the Strait, with the course illuminated by six eight-meter-high towers to allow for evening competition.

Alongside the athletic competition, the event includes educational components such as the ‘Il valore dello sport’ workshop. This session featured former Reggina footballer Daniel Adejo and Domotek Volley executive Cesare Pellegrino, who shared insights on professional discipline, the transition from athlete to management, and the personal sacrifices required to succeed in sports.
