La Plata stadium set for Argentine Clausura 2026 final on Dec 12

The Liga Profesional de Fútbol announced that the 2026 Torneo Clausura final will be played on Saturday, 12 December, at the Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata. The match will be a single‑leg neutral‑venue final; if tied after 90 minutes, extra time and, if necessary, a penalty shoot‑out will decide the champion. The winner secures a berth in the 2027 Copa Libertadores and will face the Apertura champion in the Trofeo de Campeones, which the league also scheduled for 19 December at the Estadio Mario Kempes in Córdoba. The date and venue were confirmed by the league’s Executive Committee, following the competition’s format of two 15‑team zones and knockout rounds from the round of 16 onward.
