Regatas de San Nicolás acquires Liga Argentina basketball spot

Regatas de San Nicolás has officially acquired the Liga Argentina de Básquet spot previously held by Atlético Echagüe Club. The administrative agreement was finalized at the Asociación de Clubes (AdC) headquarters for an amount exceeding 40 million pesos. This transaction allows Regatas to return to Argentina's second-tier basketball division after an 18-year absence, while leaving Paraná without a representative in this professional category.

In related basketball news, player Matías Alluchón is returning to Deportivo Roca in Río Negro. The guard/forward, originally from San Nicolás, previously played for the club during his career in the ascenso categories. Alluchón brings increased experience from his time with various Argentine institutions, including Estudiantes de Concordia and Ciclista Juninense, as he rejoins Deportivo Roca for a new competitive chapter.
